Stations 85, 86, 83, 82, BLS 806, 807, Gloucester County 1094, Medic 46 & 43 were dispatched to Route 42 South Bound for a reported motor vehicle accident with injuries. The initial response reports from Camden County Communications where a multi vehicle accident with one vehicle on top of another.

Utility 859 arrived and confirmed one vehicle was on top of another with no victims trapped. Squad 85 arrived and assisted EMS.

While units were arriving on scene, a witness advised the fire officer that there was another crash north of the first crash which involved a vehicle going into the woods. Quint 83 arrived at that scene and reported they had one car into the woods with one victim. The crews of Quint 83, Squad 86, Engine 821 and Rescue 82 went to work with chain saws to remove tree branches from around the vehicle to make access to the victim.
